Emirates’ A380 fleet reaches Denmark

Emirates expanded its destinations network served by its Airbus A380s to Copenhagen. Its highly-popular and spectacularly comfortable double-decker aircraft, the “crown jewel” of the aviation industry, will fly daily from Dubai to Denmark’s capital city.
This is the first Emirates’ A380 with the new two-class configuration (economy and business only) which expanded the aircraft’s capacity to 615 seats.

Emirates is likely to add some more destinations to the “A380 list”, following the retirement of older airliners in its fleet: only in 2016 alone, the Middle-Eastern carrier will start operating 20 new Airbus A380s and 16 new Boeing 777-300ERs. These will replace some A330s, A340s and older models of 777, as part of a modernization plan which includes withdrawing over 50 jets until 2018, when the average age of the fleet will be brought to below six years.
